U of I strives to maintain a fair, humane 和 responsible work environment. This page outlines the resources available to you as an employee if you think that another employee is engaging in conduct prejudicial to coworkers 和/or the work environment. 收到报告后, 人力资源 or the Provost’s Office will assess the information to determine the appropriate course of action. Courses of action may include, 但不限于, 非正式的决议, addressing behavior through the supervisory chain, referral to the Office of the Ombuds, or initiation of formal investigation processes. 政策并没有禁止, 例如, conduct that might be rude or inconsiderate but is not severe, 普遍的还是持久的. 然而, such conduct could fall short of reasonable expectations for behavior towards others 和 be addressed by unit leadership as a matter of appropriate performance.

If a report is deemed to warrant action, HR or the Provost’s Office will facilitate the appropriate processes according to the policies laid out on FSH 3910, 3920 和 3930. 员工 also can follow grievance procedures outlined in FSH 3840, 3860 or 3890 in response to administrative action.

If an alleged violation may constitute sexual harassment or may be based on a protected class, the case will be referred to the Office of Civil Rights 和 Investigations (OCRI). In a situation in which both protected 和 non-protected elements are present, OCRI will conduct their investigation first.

It is a violation of university policy for any employee to engage in retaliatory conduct against any individual who reports perceived prejudicial conduct, 提出投诉, or participates in a grievance, resolution or appeals process. 看到FSH 3810 了解更多信息.
